Del Monte Foods has renewed its multi-year contract with Transplace, a provider of transportation management services and logistics technology.

Under the new long-term agreement, Transplace will continue to provide Del Monte with strategic expertise in transportation management and logistics, as well as high performance execution throughout the Del Monte network.

Transplace operations vice president Mark McEntire said that for more than five years, Transplace has focused on delivering value through enabling exceptional execution for Del Monte.

"By consistently leveraging data to make strategic business decisions, we've been able to contribute to business improvements and look forward to continued success for years to come," McEntire added.

Del Monte Foods is a leading producer, distributor and marketer of premium quality, branded food products and pet products for the US retail market. Its food brands include Del Monte, Contadina, S&W, College Inn, among others.

Transplace is a North American logistics company that manages freight transportation and provides transportation technology for manufacturers and retailers.
